HELOC Check Access

Home Equity Line of Credit Check Changes Coming January 1, 2027

Protecting Your Account. Simplifying Access.

You've trusted us with your banking relationship, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Beginning January 1, 2027, INSBANK will discontinue Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) checks as part of our ongoing efforts to help protect clients from the rising threat of check fraud.

While checks have traditionally provided a convenient way to access HELOC funds, they have also become one of the most common targets for fraud. This change allows us to reduce unnecessary risk while continuing to provide secure ways to access your available line of credit.

As always, our team is available to answer questions and guide you through the transition.

Why This Change is Being Made

Protecting Against Growing Fraud Risks

Check fraud has increased significantly in recent years, exposing consumers and businesses to stolen, altered, and counterfeit checks. Moving away from HELOC checks is an important step in reducing those risks and helping keep your accounts secure.

More Secure Access to Your Line of Credit

You'll continue to have access to your HELOC funds through secure alternatives. If you're unsure which option is best for you, we're happy to walk through them together and find the solution that fits your needs.

The Same Personal Service You Expect

This change doesn't alter your relationship with INSBANK or your access to your line of credit. What remains unchanged is our commitment to providing responsive, personalized support whenever you need it.
